Transfer credits:
Do you want to know how transfer credits will transfer and count towards an OSU degree? You can follow the steps below to get an idea!
We do not officially articulate transfer credits (show how each transfer credit transfers into OSU and how they count towards your degree) until you have applied, been admitted, and let us know you are coming to OSU. We do, however, have tools you can use to do this work in advance of our official credit evaluation. Once you are admitted and committed to coming to OSU, we will complete an Advanced Standing Report which is OSU’s initial evaluation of any transfer credits, but for now, follow the steps below!
Doing a self-guided, unofficial evaluation of your transfer credit
Step 1
Learn about OSU's general degree structure.
Step 2

Create a transcript of your domestic transfer credits from inside and outside of Oregon:
Credits from Oregon Institutions:
Step 3
Compare and contrast to your desired OSU degree!
-
Compare your transcript from the single course search to your OSU major requirements and
-
Compare your single course search tool transcript to your general education or "Bacc Core" requirements!
*Make sure to always look at your major requirements AND the Bacc Core because some majors will specify what classes they want you to take within the Bacc Core. Especially STEM majors.
Step 4
Make note of your specific academic advising questions, find your OSU College advising contact, and send them your question(s).
If you are having any trouble or have other questions send them to the Transfer Student Service staff.
